Busbar

A power track is a power supply line for lighting fixtures that allows for greater flexibility in mounting the lamps. These tracks are often mounted on ceilings, and the various lamps are then attached using adapters or transadapters and connected to the power supply. The power conductor is enclosed and securely installed within the power track to ensure maximum safety.

However, track lighting isn't limited to ceiling lighting, as is often the case; it also looks great mounted vertically on walls, such as in storefront windows. The lights mounted on the track can be repositioned or completely replaced at any time, which also allows for greater flexibility in lighting design.

There are three different types of busbars: single-phase low-voltage busbars, three-phase busbars, orDali Power rails suitable for surface-mounting or recessed installation on ceilings, suspended from ceilings, and wall mounting. Multiple power rails can be connected using cross or angle connectors and adjustable couplings.

Here is an overview of the different busbars:

Single-phase busbars:

This type of power rail is ideal for connecting multiple pendant lights to a single power outlet or for creating your own rail system using various light sources. Using compatible (pendant) light adapters, the lights are hung on the rail and can be turned on and off together via a single circuit.

3-phase busbars:

Unlike single-phase busbars, these busbars can be configured for three-phase operation. Thanks to their three integrated power lines, they can also power three different circuits with a totalPerformance of 11,000Watt implement. This type of track allows the attached lights to be switched and controlled in different ways. This requires installation on a 5-wire power cable.

DALI Power Rails:

Also for the modern DALILighting Control And for implementing smart lighting systems, there are power rails with two additional DALI data lines and only one power line. This allows lamps with DALI adapters to be installed.
