VDE

The abbreviation VDE stands for Association of German Electrical Engineers, which was founded in 1893 and is now the name of the name of technical scientific association of electronics electronics information technology e. V. wears. They give the VDE sign-a test mark for security and standard conformity. More precisely, it is about electrical, mechanical, thermal and other hazards of electrotechnical products.

In addition, the VDE is a certification institute that is enabled to assign the European security test mark ENEC and ENEC+. The latter stands for the credibility of product data and reliable operation. The national identification number of the VDE is the 10.

VDE is one of the largest associations in Europe in the electrical engineering area and has its headquarters in Frankfurt am Main. Since lights and lamps are also electronic products, it is therefore also one of the most important examination institutes in this industry.
