Lamps & luminaires for the reception or entrance area
Similar to the entrance area in a private home, the reception area in a medical practice is the calling card for every arriving patient or guest. Representative interior lighting is particularly important here in order to convey a serious impression and demonstrate a high level of sophistication.
Designer wall luminaires, a branded pendant luminaire or an impressive modern floor lamp show good taste on the one hand and on the other hand they give guests a feeling of well-being from the very first moment.
Pleasant waiting area lighting
Patients often have to wait a long time to be called into the patient room. For this reason, suitable lighting should be chosen in the waiting room to reduce nervousness, provide sufficient brightness for magazines and books and create an attractive room ambience.
Louvre luminaires, bright ceiling lightsa ceiling washlight with a reading arm and, above all, energy-saving ceiling lights or selected pendant lights should be used here. Wall-effect luminaires can also create a beautiful play of light and shadow, but should not be too intrusive. The light intensity should be around 200 lux.
Treatment room lighting for a relaxed atmosphere
Patients are often very tense and anxious in the treatment room. Take away their anxiety with attractive lighting in neutral light colors (approx. 4000 Kelvin) and appealing shapes. Of course, the lighting must be good enough for examinations. Simple examinations require a light intensity of 300 lux, simple treatments approx. 500 lux.
In dental facilities, slightly colder light colors from 5000 Kelvin upwards should be used (e.g. via LED panels). The patient should not look directly into the lights (glare-free lighting). Indirect lighting is a good idea here.
Gymnastics room LED lighting
In gymnastics rooms, the focus is on movement. Instead of decorative lighting, ceiling panels, recessed luminaires or fixed ceiling luminaires that provide neutral white light (200 to 500 lux) should be used here. This lighting creates a fresh room ambience.
LED lighting for the washroom
Neutral white or warm lighting is required in washrooms or changing rooms at the start of work or after work. After all, it should be possible to relax here or calmly prepare for the next steps.
All types of luminaires can be used here: Wall lights, ceiling lights, pendant lights, recessed spotlights or floor lamps. Downlights are also frequently used for uniform room lighting.
