What does GU10 mean?
GU10 bulbs are becoming increasingly popular and are similar to E27 bulbs. G stands for the plug-in base, U for the mechanical hold in the socket system, and 10 describes the pin spacing of 10 mm. GU10 light sources already contain the necessary transformers and work with 230V without a ballast, which makes replacement very easy.
Are GU10 bulbs dimmable?
You can tell whether your GU10 light bulb is dimmable from the packaging. A dimmer is becoming increasingly popular as it allows you to adjust the brightness individually. Pay attention to the corresponding labeling when buying light bulbs.
GU10 LED instead of halogen lamp
GU10 LED bulbs are an energy-efficient alternative to halogen bulbs and last much longer. They consume less energy, produce less heat and contribute to environmental protection. When replacing, make sure that the pin spacing remains the same.
