Information on electrical and electronics (old) devices
The following information is aimed at private households that use electrical and/ or electronic devices. Please note these important information in the interest of environmentally friendly disposal of old devices and your own safety.
1. Information on the disposal of electrical devices and the importance of the symbol according to Appendix 3 to the ElektroG:
Owners of old devices have to be recorded by a decline in settlement separated by unsorted settlement waste. Electrical and electronics devices must therefore not be eliminated as unsorted settlement waste and, in particular, do not belong in household waste. Rather, these old devices are to be collected separately and, for example, to dispose of the local collective and return systems.
Owners of old devices also have to separate old batteries and altak cumulators that are not enclosed by the old device, as well as lamps that can be removed from the old device without destruction before handing over at a detection point. The latter does not apply if the old devices in accordance with Section 14 Paragraph 4 Sentence 4 or Paragraph 5 Clause 2 and 3 Elektrog as part of the option by the public law disposal institutions are separated for the purpose of preparing for reuse of other old devices in order to prepare them for reuse .
Based on the symbol according to Appendix 3 to the electrog, owners can recognize old devices that are to be recorded separately from the unsorted settlement drop at the end of their lifespan. The symbol for the separate recording of electrical and electronic devices represents a crossed-out waste bin on wheels and is designed as follows:
2. Information on the possibility of returning old devices for end users:
End users as owners of old devices have the following return options:
Can I hand over my old device to you?
Of course. Small devices up to 25 cm outdoor length can be handed over free of charge. You can also hand in larger devices free of charge if you buy a similar device from us.
I haven't bought the device from you, can I still give it to you?
Of course. You can hand in all small devices up to 25 cm free of charge, no matter where you bought the devices.
Your business is not near me. Where can I hand over my device?
You can easily find the nearest collection point www.take-e-back.de.
I don't find a collection point in the immediate distance!?
Please let us know your (approximate) location. We find a solution for you.
I don't want to tell you my location. How can I hand over my device now?
We would like to create a return option at reasonable distance and need your location.
Can I send you my old device? Please provide me with a shipping brand!
Possible damage, e.g. fires, while transporting old devices can be at your expense (liability). The BUND/LANDER WORKING FEITIONSHARG WASS (LAGA) also warns of this withdrawal procedure. Deutsche Environmental Aid criticizes that the devices have to be packed extensively. Also consider the consequences of the environment through packaging waste. Therefore, we chose a system of inpatient collection points that constantly evolved. Please let us know your (approximate) location. We find a solution for you.
Why can't I hand over my devices everywhere in your collection system?
The legislator requires that every online retailer with over 400 sqm electrical warehouse and shipping area (shelf area) must prove their own return network to the end consumer in addition to the collection points of the public law waste disposal carriers. Thus, various online retailers have merged into different return networks. In any case, you can do your old devices at the Take-E-Way collection points (www.take-e-back.de) Or hand in with the public law disposal carriers. We offer you a legal and above all consumer -friendly withdrawal system. Because wherever you cannot find a return option in a distance that is reasonable for you, we ensure an individual solution for you.
3. Note on data protection
On old devices to be disposed of, there are sometimes sensitive personal data (such as on a PC or a smartphone), which are not allowed to enter the hands of third parties.
We expressly point out that end users from old devices must ensure the deletion of personal data on the old devices to be disposed of.
