"Light creates atmosphere!"
The well-known Bolzano star architect and designer Matteo Thun speaks im Interview with Skapetze Lightmaker The importance of light in the living area, tells about the latest construction projects in Bavaria and reveals why the "patient becomes a guest" in this.
Skapetze Lichtmacher: The current world situation has been tense for years to Corona and the Ukraine War: This also fears that you also fear a possible backward sowness in realizing large design objects and the willingness? Bavaria's Prime Minister Söder has recently made a cancellation for the Munich concert hall for reasons
Thun: The projects will certainly also depend. We have the most interesting construction projects in Bavaria - on Lake Chiemsee, on Lake Starnberg and on Lake Tegernsee. Physical and mental health focuses on all of these healthcare projects. Fasting, simple, healthy eating and self -discovery is the focus here: the patient becomes a guest.
Skapetze Lightmaker: Skapetze pursued with the own brand s.LUCE The strategy, for example, for straightforward glass light series such as the s.LUCE Sphere, s.LUCE Fairy or s.LUCE Progress for various types of lights (standing/table/wall lights) to use similar light bodies and use them modularly and flexibly. Can we ask you about the models of the series?

Thun: Wonderful: classic, simple and adaptable.
Skapetze Lichtmacher: How do you use light privately in the living room? What is particularly important to you here?
Thun: I prefer daylight, indirect light and preferably candlelight.
Skapetze Lichtmacher: What does the everyday life of a well -known architect look like? A constant jet set life between Milan, Munich and the cities of Europe or a little calmer?
Thun: On average, I am in our office in Milan for three weeks and work with the teams from architecture, interior and design - a week in Münchner Office. From both locations from both locations, I prefer to travel on the train for business reasons, if possible. But I prefer to walk on site. I like the simplicity of locomotion.
Skapetze Lightmaker: What future projects do you currently have in mind? What are your personal goals for 2022?
Thun: As for light, we work with Panzeri on a light collection dedicated to the Venetian lagoon with flexible elements. A mixture of traditionally edited glass and technological innovation.
My personal goal? The next Engadine ski marathon!
Skapetze Lichtmacher: Our question at the end: What do you use as a retreat that gives you the opportunity to raise the necessary creativity for your current projects? Do you have a secret recipe?
Thun: Walking and hikes in nature.
Skapetze Lichtmacher: We thank you for the conversation!
