Saving energy thanks to LED lighting

Many people today hardly remember the time before LED lighting. Before LED lighting, incandescent lamps were often the only option, although only around five percent of the energy was converted into light, the rest was lost as heat.

The invention of the LED lamp has fundamentally changed lighting. On average, LED lighting consumes at least 75 percent less energy than an incandescent bulb. It's amazing how much money you can save by switching to LED LIGHTING.

LED lighting is much more energy efficient than incandescent or fluorescent lighting

The diodes generate less heat and, unlike fluorescent lamps, contain no mercury. A LED lamp also lasts many thousands of hours longer than conventional light bulbs.

Their average service life is up to 70,000 hours, which is around fifty times longer than incandescent lamps or eight to ten times longer than fluorescent lamps.

LED lighting instead of light bulbs: how much money you can save

An average family of four uses around 12% of the electricity with incandescent lighting.

In view of the high electricity prices, it is all the more surprising that only a few people have so far switched their lighting completely to LED lights have switched to LED lighting.

With the complete switch from incandescent lamps to modern light sources you can easily save 10% on electricity, as LEDs only consume around 7 to 15 percent of the energy of an incandescent lamp of the same intensity. It's easy to save energy with light.

Comparison of an energy-saving lamp and an LED lamp

Like any new technology, LEDS were very expensive at first. However, these lamps are now also available at very reasonable prices

LED lighting can also be beautiful and unusual

Vintage light bulbs are a prime example of how antique design can be perfectly combined with the latest LED technology can be perfectly coordinated. Old light bulbs bring a special charm to your home! Whether in kitchenbathroom, living roomor bedroom, Retro lamps find their place in every living room.

Save energy at home with LED lighting

One of the main reasons why LEDs are so efficient is that they consume much less electricity than incandescent lamps, as they do not produce light in the same way as incandescent lamps.

LED lights are energy efficient, mainly due to their design. These lamps have a semiconductor that emits light when electricity flows through it.

This means that they consume less energy and save energy with light. As the entire circuit does not need to be heated up like a light bulb in order for the filament or gas in it to produce light.

LED lighting has a longer service life

The biggest advantage of LED lighting is that a lamp can last up to twenty years. In comparison, a long-life fluorescent lamp lasts up to five years before it needs to be replaced. With LED lighting, therefore, fewer bulbs need to be purchased.

Using LED light not only saves money but also energy, it is also better for the planet because there is less waste in the form of burnt-out bulbs.

LED strips are not only practical, but also an excellent energy saver

LED strip  not only adds a touch of sparkle to every room in your home. Its low wattage means it consumes a fraction of the energy of an incandescent or halogen bulb used in a traditionalceiling lampor table lamp is used. This enables LED strips offer some fantastic lighting optionsto illuminate a living space in an inviting way.

LED lighting: Environmentally friendly and without toxic elements

Due to its efficiency alone, a LED lighting is environmentally friendly. LED light generates less noise and light pollution. The lamps can withstand various weather conditions. They contain no glass and are relatively shatterproof.

Very important: LED lamps do not emit ultraviolet light and do not contain mercury or other hazardous substances. In contrast, halogen lamps contain around four to five milligrams of mercury, which can be very dangerous for humans.

Here are my 5th tips for saving energy at home

  • Switch to LED lighting!
  • Use motion detectors e.g. hallway or stairwell
  • Set to dimmable lights . This creates a pleasant atmosphere and you save electricity.
  • Pay attention to several small light sources. It is better to use several small light sources than one large one.
  • Set Smart Home & Smart Light on. Through individual control and dimming of the lighting can achieve significant energy savings.

Everything speaks for LED lighting

Old light sources such as incandescent lamps and halogen lamps have had their day. The LED technology is now fully developed and offers numerous advantages. In principle, it is worth replacing every room with LED lighting. By integrating LEDs into your own home, there are endless opportunities to save electricity at home.
