How long has the shop existed and how did you get the idea? Can you tell something about the founding story?


Skapetze Lightmakers have been around for more than 40 years. We are a traditional family company in which light is still considered a real craft. Over the years, the company has developed from inpatient light experts in the region, through online sales to third parties to third parties to the real Omni-Channel provider, both online and offline, where our own online shop with our own brand s.LUCE include the load -bearing columns. You have Shopware 6 in use. Did you consciously choose the software or was it a recommendation of your agency?


The decision on Shopware 6 was determined in exchange with our Onedot agency. Our goal was to relaunch a future -oriented system that fulfills our needs. We hope to be able to bring in strong unique selling points and a lot of personality in the next few years. Customers should feel comfortable in our shop and receive confirmation of really being a light expert. We support it via chat, telephone or through the advice by email. We would like Shopware to have an even more intensive contact and a firm contact.


You have incredibly good photos in the shop. How did the shoot were created, who took such good photos? How important is the photo when buying lighting?

You have an impressive light studio ... is that important in the customer journey? What are the concerns of customers when buying a new lighting?


Skapetze is Bavaria's largest light studio for customers within a radius of around 120 kilometers. We are in the Munich, Passau, Salzburg triangle and have long developed the role of the leading contact for light for a long time. Mostly the customers inform themselves online and then like to take the opportunity to take care of being supported professionally as part of a professional lighting planning. Which channels do you inspire your customers?


In order to offer sufficient inspiration for every age group, we are represented at numerous forums. Social media channels such as Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook should not be missing. We are also targeting blogs that have focused on interior design and construction projects from planning to the final. In our eyes, not only the quantity of the contributions plays a role here, but rather the quality and added value for the customer.


A final question: Nowadays everyone speaks of sustainability. To what extent do you include this aspect of your products?


Environmental protection is at Skapetze A real matter of the heart. This starts with reduced paper consumption in the office, in which we digitally implement as many processes as possible. We also want to act in terms of the environment in terms of transport routes and do everything to avoid partial deliveries for orders. For customer purchases, in which several individual positions for e.g. wall or ceiling are obviously ordered, we also actively call customers and ask how we can help with the selection. This saves unnecessary returns.
