skapetze®: "You've been Sales Manager at skapetze® in the border town of Simbach am Inn since 2021. What are your goals with the central lighting location skapetze® in Bavaria for your customers from Bavaria and Upper Austria?"
Roland Hartl: "My aim is to sell our products in such a way that our customers get the best advice at fair prices. We cater to every customer request. We offer lighting concepts for everyone with a constantly growing selection of over 20,000 lighting ideas. A big advantage is our own brand s.luce 'Design from Bavaria'. With this own brand, we create affordable design for anyone who values modern design at a top price. We at skapetze® are your regional and national contact for lighting with over 40 years of experience. We are happy to pass on our expertise."
skapetze®: "In 2022, skapetze® has again released many new product series under its renowned own brand s.luce. Tell us briefly about the approaches to the series and the ideas behind them!"
Roland Hartl: "Our s.luce product management team, led by my colleague Karin Wagner, is in constant communication with our sales team and our service team. We communicate our customer wishes and our own ideas. s.luce stands for individual mainstream and young living. Customers should be able to easily customize/configure their lights and simply order them online. Custom-made products are part of the program because we can implement many customer requests easily, simply and transparently. Communication is the key to staying creative. We are particularly strong in the area of gallery luminaires or individual pendant luminaires with 2 or 3 lights."
skapetze®: "Our s.luce Ring series. What makes the s.luce Ring pendant lights and what is the secret of their success?"
Roland Hartl: "In my opinion, it is clearly the unique and individual flexible adjustment options of the ring combination, which are not offered by any other manufacturer. Unsere s.luce ring pendant lights are freely selectable in terms of size, color and suspension length. Up to 5 rings can be placed on a canopy and the rings can be mounted either centrally (one below the other) or eccentrically (offset). A successful product that provides a great solution in many difficult lighting situations."
skapetze®: "What are the general trends in the lighting industry in 2022?"
Roland Hartl: "The trends at the moment are smart homes, LED strips and indirect lighting. Controlling lights via app or remote control with different lighting scenarios creates the perfect feel-good atmosphere for every home. Such solutions can often be implemented using smart RGB light sources . The trend color black is also becoming increasingly popular. From the interior to the color scheme of the lights, a clear, stylish design is realized."
skapetze®: "In addition to the s.luce brand, another important component of skapetze® is the topic of lighting design. This is offered both as practical online lighting planning and in the skapetze® showroom in Simbach am Inn (near Passau). How does online lighting planning work and is it really an alternative to an appointment on site?"
Roland Hartl: "As a lighting designer, I rely on creativity. There are a lot of lights and ideas on the market that are beautiful and suitable for the home. However, the large selection can be overwhelming for our customers. Lighting design itself is first and foremost about working together with the customers to work out the best concept for them. It's all about creating a sense of well-being at home. The luminaires themselves are initially of secondary importance in lighting design. There is hardly any difference between on-site and online lighting design. Online planning for our supra-regional customers even has advantages. The customer often saves long journeys by car and therefore valuable time. We incorporate all the customer's ideas and wishes in advance. Afterwards, we support the customer until the installation is complete. We are also there for our customers afterwards for all kinds of questions, communicate with the customer's architects and electricians and thus create the most important thing for us - a positive recommendation for further planning."
