The name of the Flyte brand contains the English words "fly" for flying and "light" for light.
What is Flyte and how does the floating light bulb work?
The base is a rectangular pedestal with electromagnets inside. You can choose from oak or walnut for the cladding.
Above the electromagnets is a radio transmitter for wireless power transmission. The magnetism of the electric magnets lifts the base of the light bulb, which floats above the wooden base.
The radio receiver in the base of the light bulb lights up the energy-saving LEDs inside.
How do I place the Flyte light bulb on the base correctly?
When you carefully lower the light bulb over the center of the base, the LEDs start to light up, you feel the upward movement of the magnets and the light bulb is automatically placed in the correct position.
When you let go of the bulb, it starts to light up and slowly rotate around itself.
To switch off the Flyte light bulb, simply touch the wooden base and the light goes out.
