Think Paper - Designer lights out of paper
Dare new, think innovatively, plan into the future. This is exactly the approaches of the new lighting concept Think Paper. As a small brother of the big luminaire manufacturer Segula lamps from the Black Forest, Think Paper has a long-term, modern and more keen to experiment.
The floating aesthetics, the refined handling of the transparency of the material and the inventive forms suggest that Think Paper will play a major role in the lamp design industry in the future. At the latest in 2013 at the Leipzig Worldskills Messe, most Think Paper had on the radar with their exhibition of the Dutch Tulp (Dutch tulip). They delighted the masses with an oversized luminous body, made from recycled corrugated cardboard.
Think about tomorrow's design
The foundation of Think Paper Lighting was based on combining the two main aspects of design and sustainability in a perfect product. In the research area of Segula Technologies, a sustainable material was searched for a long time, which also entails aesthetic aspects and translucency. When building a prototype made of corrugated cardboard, they learned to the material and were impressed by the lighting effect of the gaps.
They quickly found that various strengths of the material can be created interesting light-shadow patterns. These can also be found again in the finished end product of the Think Paper and contribute significantly to the design. Since the corrugated cardboard is 100% recycled paper, the lampshades are completely sustainable and biodegradable. The use of purely biodegradable glue and garbage -free production complete the product perfectly. A real eye -catcher for people, nature and climate.
German company history combined with Dutch design art
The traditional German company Segula sent her new paper to the Netherlands to collect influences of Dutch interior design art. So the project grew beyond itself, is now a Dutch company on its own feet and supplies the world market with design objects. With a large product range, Think Paper lamps with organic and soft formal language convince. The warm color of the corrugated cardboard creates an impressively cozy atmosphere in every living scenario.
Modern concept - tried and tested technology
Think Paper Lampen specialized in sustainable design in self -supporting production. The elements are made with the latest technology from Segula in the Netherlands and assembled by hand. The spiral -shaped gear and the different strengths of corrugated cardboard make the lights a unique eye -catcher.
