Think Paper - Designer lights made of paper

Dare to try something new, think innovatively, plan for the future. These are precisely the approaches of the new Think Paper lighting concept. As the little brother of the large lighting manufacturer Segula Lampen from the Black Forest, Think Paper appears much younger, more modern and more experimental.

The floating aesthetic, the sophisticated use of the transparency of the material and the inventive shapes suggest that Think Paper will play a major role in the lamp design industry in the future. By 2013 at the Leipzig WorldSkills fair, most people had Think Paper on their radar with their exhibition of the Dutch Tulip. They wowed the masses with an oversized light fixture made from recycled corrugated cardboard.

Thinking about tomorrow when designing

The founding of Think Paper Lighting was based on combining the two main aspects of design and sustainability in a perfect product. In the research department of Segula Technologies, they had long been looking for a sustainable material that also had aesthetic aspects and translucency. When building a prototype out of corrugated cardboard, they learned to like the material and were impressed by the lighting effect of the spaces between them.

They quickly discovered that different thicknesses of the material can be used to create interesting light and shadow patterns. These can also be found in the finished product of the Think Paper lamps and contribute significantly to the design. Since the corrugated cardboard is 100% recycled paper, the lampshades are completely sustainable and biodegradable. The use of purely biodegradable adhesive and waste-free production round off the product perfectly. A real eye-catcher for people, nature and the climate.

German company history combined with Dutch design art

The traditional German company Segula sent its new creation Think Paper to the Netherlands to gather influences from Dutch interior design art. The project grew beyond itself and is now a Dutch company that stands on its own two feet and supplies the global market with design objects. With a large product range, Think Paper lamps impress with their organic and soft design language. The warm color of the corrugated cardboard creates an impressively cozy ambience in every living scenario.

Modern concept - proven technology

Think Paper lamps specialize in sustainable design in self-supporting production. The elements are manufactured using the latest technology from Segula in the Netherlands and assembled by hand. The spiral-shaped assembly and the different thicknesses of the corrugated cardboard make the lamps a unique eye-catcher.

Paper for your living room

Due to the warm light emitted by the color of the corrugated cardboard, the Think Paper lights are particularly recommended for the cozy corners of your home. They can provide exceptional comfort and high aesthetic added value in living rooms and bedrooms. The combination of different shapes, types or diameters is ideal for bringing more light into a uniform room concept. The easy installation of the lampshade is another advantage.
