You often ask yourself: What exactly do I want and why? There are arguments for all our recessed LED lights that will make your decision easier. For example, how the lamps are installed and what needs to be taken into account. High-quality recessed wall lights for your outdoor area can be used for outdoor stairs or pool walls, for example.

It is important to always select the right light for the location. Below we explain a few points that you need to consider before buying a recessed wall light.

IP67 is not just a number for recessed LED spotlights!

Especially in outdoor areas, you should make sure that all luminaires comply with the safety regulations of the respective location where they are to be installed. This is indicated by the protection class. This always consists of two letters and a two-digit number.

For our areas, we start with IP44, which corresponds to splash-proof LED lighting. Or the classes IP67 and IP68, which are completely waterproof and only differ in their pressure resistance. It is also important here whether you want to install recessed spotlights with 230V or a low-voltage system.

There are also 230V recessed LED spotlights with a shallow installation depth, which is particularly important for thin walls or insulation behind the façade. Here, the installation depth can vary from 10 cm to 20 cm, depending on the technology installed in the recessed wall lights.

What changes when my light intensity changes?

LED recessed spotlights that are dimmable are becoming increasingly popular. Especially as light is an important part of well-being. There are various ways to regulate your outdoor recessed wall lights. For example, entire recessed LED light sets can be created, most of which have a receiver and a remote control.

Here you can use light sources from our in-house system that are equipped with special radio technology. A receiver is located in the light source and you have a remote control that can be used to switch each light source or entire groups, even though you do not have a light switch for the recessed wall lights.

It is also possible to dim the lights via a dimmable transformer with a normal leading-edge and trailing-edge phase dimmer on the switch. To do this, for example, a dimmable light source must be screwed in (with a low-voltage system, the ballast must also be dimmable!).

Are tiltable recessed LED spotlights important for me?

The clear answer is YES! Because it's not just how bright the light is, but also where it shines that makes a big impression on us.

Special luminaires that can be swiveled up and down to alternate between direct and indirect light are a strong factor. It is important that you ask yourself the question: Is there something specific that I want to illuminate or do I need general light?

Recessed wall luminaires for stairs in particular should illuminate the steps as well as possible so that you can see where the path leads.

Shapes and colors are not a minor matter!

Should it be LED recessed spotlights in white? Or would you prefer gray recessed wall spotlights? The shape also plays a role here. Where the angular recessed wall lights appear somewhat edgier and cooler, round LED recessed spotlights for outdoors are calm and are perceived as more pleasant.
