Adaptive lighting

If you want to reproduce the course of the day, as it is determined by the sun, this is called adaptive lighting. It is a very dynamic type of lighting that takes the lighting conditions a day and is based on adaptation. A sunrise is simulated, so to speak, which then increases the brightness of the lights until it has reached a climax. After this, the brightness then decreases again until the sun has lost, so to speak. At the same time, the light colors of Warmweiss change in the morning, to neutral white, cold white at noon, and then again in the direction of warm white for the evening mood.

Such an adaptive lighting is a very natural way to illuminate rooms, which is why there are even alarm clocks that do not allow you to wake up with a shrill tone, but with a light start adapted to the sunlight. In addition, it is often used in rooms without or only with low daylight to artificially replace a light window, or also in open -plan offices with a large depth of space.

However, there are then no simple on/off lamps for adaptive lighting, since it requires a programmed time course, which you can use, for example, at Smart Light systems can implement. Another option is to use sensors, which are based on one or more measured values recorded and then control the light appropriately.
