DIN 5035

DIN 5035 is a nationally applicable standard for lighting with artificial light. Although a European standard (abbreviated with EN) has also been introduced, for the entire European Union, but parts of the DIN 5035 have continued to be effective or have been revised. The following overview shows which are replaced, changed or still valid:

  • DIN 5053 Part 1: "Terms and General Requirements" (replaced by DIN EN 12665 ​​since September 2002)
  • DIN 5053 Part 2: "Guide values ​​for workplaces indoors and outdoors" (replaced by DIN EN 12464-1 and DIN EN 12464-2 since March 2003)
  • DIN 5053 Part 3: "Lighting in the healthcare system" (since March 2003 has been replaced by DIN EN 12464-1, as a supplementary national standard, DIN 5035-3 was reorganized in July 2006)
  • DIN 5053 Part 4: "Lighting of teaching sites" (since March 2003 in significant parts replaced by DIN EN 12464-1, withdrawn without replacement in August 2007)
  • DIN 5053 Part 5: "Emergency lighting" (since July 1999 replaced by DIN EN 1838).
  • DIN 5053 Part 6: "Measurement and evaluation" (valid since November 2006, takes into account parts of DIN EN 12464-1 and DIN EN 12665)
  • DIN 5053 Part 7: "Lighting of rooms with compartments" (current edition of August 2004, The edition of the standard takes into account parts of DIN EN 12464-1 and DIN EN 12665)
  • DIN 5053 Part 8: "Workplace lights, requirements, recommendations and examination" (valid since July 2007)
