DIN EN 13201

DIN EN 13201 is a European standard for street lighting. It splits into a first purely nationally applicable part and one in the entire European Union, since the countries could not agree in part 1. Since the introduction of DIN EN 13201, no old facilities in Germany have to be converted extra, but only when planning new systems and in the event of renovations, the standard must be applied. DIN EN 13201 includes the following parts:

  • DIN EN 13201 Part 1: Selection of the lighting classes (only applies in Germany)
  • DIN EN 13201 Part 2: Gütemkmale
  • DIN EN 13201 Part 3: Calculation of the approval characteristics
  • DIN EN 13201 Part 4: Methods for measuring the quality of the quality of road lighting systems
  • DIN EN 13201 Part 5: Energy efficiency indicators
