DMX

DMX stands for Digital Multiplex and refers to a standardized digital control protocol that enables communication between control devices and lighting equipment such as spotlights, dimmers, and effects units. DMX provides precise control over various parameters such as brightness, color, and movement, and enables the synchronization of multiple devices.  It is a serial-based protocol in which data can be transmitted via a 5-pin XLR or an RJ45 connection. DMX is a widely used standard and is employed in applications such as architectural lighting and show control systems.
