Downlights

Downlights are compact mostly round ceiling lights, which, as the name suggests, hand in down and create a cone on the floor or wall. They are mostly equipped with reflectors or other optical elements and can be used for both the ceiling installation and construction. Downlights with different light distribution are also available, the width of the light beam is related to the size of the radiation angle.

Downlights should be planned, especially in the installation variant, and the distances to each other, the wall and the corner positions should be taken into account at an early stage. They are also very suitable for the interior lighting of cupboards and showcases to emphasize the objects and decorations. Downlights are available as LEDs, low-voltage and high-voltage halogen lamps, compact fluorescent lamps and halogen metal steam lamps. What then needs to be taken into account mainly in the case of flat lamps and the development variant is to avoid glare, which is why reflectors are often used. Of course, also pay attention to technical security.
