Push-and-Turn Dimmer

The classic among dimmers is the rotary dimmer with a switch. Pressing the button turns the light on or off, and the brightness can then be adjusted using the rotary knob. Simply turning the knob to the left or right makes the light brighter or dimmer. It’s a very simple principle that anyone can master right away. Like any other dimmer, the rotary dimmer is used to adjust the brightness of lights, allowing you to change the mood in a room with just a small turn.  Just like a conventional, familiar light switch, the rotary dimmer is easily mounted on the wall at the end of the lamp’s cord and can then be used to control the dimmable lamp. Since most of these push-and-turn knobs also function as two-way switches, they can be easily integrated into existing two-way circuits.  In addition to rotary dimmers, there are other types of dimmers to choose from, such as push-button dimmers or touch dimmers. These operate by pressing and holding or simply by touching them. Which type you choose usually depends only on personal preference, as both leading-edge and trailing-edge dimmers are available in rotary designs.
