Eco-design guideline

The ECO design guideline is a European regulation that is intended to reduce the effects of energy-consuming products to the environment.
Minimum requirements for the energy efficiency of products that are sold in the EU are determined.
Energy consumption is to be reduced in this way, resource efficiency improves and environmental pollution is reduced as a whole.
The ECO design guideline also applies to household appliances, heating and air conditioning systems, and of course also to lighting.
This guideline is the reason for the gradual setting of the conventional light bulb since September 1, 2009.
