Luster clamp

A luster clamp is an isolated connector that is used to connect two power cables. The cables are attached with screws so that the wires are then safely connected. These are used in all lights that are related to the house electrics, which is almost always the case except for floor lamps or table lights, which are put directly into the socket.

The structure of such a luster clamp is almost a matter of course, which is why assembly is very easy. It is a small, non -conductive made of ceramic or plastic consisting tube that absorbs the stripped cable ends on both sides. Due to the two screws on the top, the cables are then held in their position and fixed.  Often, several such luster terminals are connected to each other in order to connect cables running in parallel via a central element.

In the meantime, however, well -tried luster terminals are increasingly being replaced by spring clinic, since these are even easier to use in their handling. They are usually a bit more expensive, but you save yourself the tool and the workload, because instead of small screws that require tact, the cables are only jammed with spring power terminals. A strong spring then ensures that the construction is held together. Overall, however, both the spring force clamp and the luster clamp fulfill their function.
