Grid Lights

Louvered lights are lamps with a louvered cover designed to diffuse the light; they are often equipped with fluorescent tubes, compact fluorescent lamps, or LEDs as light sources. This louvered cover resembles the slats of a venetian blind and serves to direct the light and distribute its intensity. In addition, when installed in louvered lights, it prevents glare. Such louvered lights are primarily used for ceiling lighting at workstations, in offices, or in public buildings, as they are typically large-area fixtures that can thus adequately illuminate even spacious rooms. They achieve this primarily through the built-in louvre, which diffuses and scatters the light in all directions. These luminaires can be found either recessed directly into ceilings, mounted as surface-mounted fixtures, or suspended as pendant lights. Furthermore, depending on the lighting purpose and the visual task to be performed, there are various suitable louvres available for the respective louvered luminaires. These are available in white, in an aluminum finish, or as so-called “Darklight” louvres. A distinction is also made between mirror, anti-glare, and prismatic louvres—ensuring that the right louvered lighting can be found for every activity, since proper lighting is particularly important in the workplace.
