The word burning point for power outlet is the somewhat outdated name and has its origin from very early days in which lamps are still operated with oil or petroleum or used real candles. The burning point was literally meant because it referred to the area in the wall in which the light actually burned. In the meantime, lamps have long been operated with electricity, but the term has still been kept.

Since such a power outlet is now important for the power supply, but still does not optically not particularly beautiful, there are so -called canopies or ceiling rosettes. These completely cover the power outlet and not only ensure a beautification, but also more security.
