Description
Table lamp escargot from Nemo is much more than just a decorative lamp. It is a luxury class collector's item, because it is only made in a limited number. The original draft from 1954 comes from none other than the architect and furniture designer Le Corbusier. Escargot, the French word for snail, the shape of the extraordinary table lamp, at the center of which the lamp is placed. The luminaire body is covered with brass, the outside gilding and the inside is silvered. The light intensity of the 300W special light lamp can be easily adjusted with the integrated dimmer.
This sculptural floor lamp inspired by nature was designed for the public spaces of the Unité d'abitation in Marseille. Limited edition, brass fusion with an ancient character. Curved interior reflector made of anodized aluminum, which creates the reflected light hidden in the structure and diffuse indirect light release.
Designer Le Corbusier:
“Our eyes are made to see shapes in the light; Light and shadow show these shapes; Cubes, cones, balls, cylinders or pyramids are the large primary forms, die the light for an advantage; The picture of it is clear and tangible in us, without ambiguity. For this reason, these are beautiful shapes, the most beautiful shapes. "
