DALI

Dali is the abbreviation for "Digital Addressable Lighting Interface", which is also called the standardized digital interface for electronic ballasts (EVG) in German. As the German name already says, this serves to control electronic ballasts for light sources and this across manufacturers. With Dali, lighting groups, individual lights or the lighting of entire rooms can be controlled.

With so -called gateways, Dali is therefore often installed in smart light systems and therefore stands for high -quality light at all times. In contrast to the analog interface 1-10 V, DALI can also control individual devices through the individual addressability. It also guarantees the interchangeability of operating equipment from various manufacturers.

A special DALI EVG is then required for the DALI light control. A total of up to 64 dali compatible and individually dimmable lights can be addressed to only one control line. Like many other Smart Light systems, it has a wide range of applications from light colors to dimmers and easy usability.

All further information and suitable smart home components for DALI can be found in the Smart Light category skapetze®.
