Direct glare

The direct glare at lights refers to the unpleasant and dazzling light, which shines from a lamp directly into the eye of the viewer. This can lead to visual symptoms such as eye irritation, headache and even visual damage. A direct Glare usually occurs when the Light source is unprotected or inadequate and the viewer is located at a certain angle to the lamp. In order to minimize a direct blinding, lights should be equipped with a suitable glare limit, for example by using covers, reflectors or shields.
