Nominal lighting performance

The nominal output describes the maximum performance that an electrical device or lighting device can absorb or submit.
It is important for the selection and installation of lighting systems, since with the help of nominal power it is ensured that the device is not overloaded by the intended use.
The measure of nominal output is usually watts (W). These should be given on the packaging.
The nominal output is individually determined on the basis of standardized tests, individually for each device. It serves as the basis for calculating power consumption, energy efficiency and operating costs.
