The concept of pars comes from English and is the abbreviation for Parabolic Aluminized Reflector. These are press glass reflector lamps with different broadcasting angles, which are also known as Par-Kann. They are available as high-voltage halogen lamps with screw base, as halogen metal steam lamps with ceramic burners and as all-use curvats or LEDs.

Such par-lamps then have their application, especially in the outside area or at events for stage lighting. They were developed in the United States in the 1950s and are now also used mobile due to a variety of improvements and further developments.
