Presence sensor

The presence sensor or presence detector is a more precise variant of a motion detector. A presence sensor even captures minimal movements in the room and is used, for example, to prevent the light from leaving. Some office lights have a presence sensor because it himself captures calm activities or sitting people. If ultimately no movement is recorded, the corresponding lamp is switched off after a certain time, so a lot of electricity can be saved.

In order to enlarge the detection area of a presence sensor and ensure that the people are also in the well -recorded area, it is recommended to attach the sensor to the ceiling. In larger rooms, the presence detectors can also be networked with each other in order to prevent the lighting from switching off locally when part of the room is vacant.

When buying a lamp with a presence sensor, attention must be paid to its reach, since depending on the space size, movement should also be recorded in a smaller or larger area. If a sensor is not sufficient, other so -called slave sensors can be planned, which are connected to the main sensor.
