Room lighting

The room lighting, also called general lighting or basic lighting, is used to illuminate a room evenly. For this purpose, lights with a larger beam angle are usually used at approx. 120 degrees, as these shed light on an area.

Such space lighting serves to orientate and good recognizability of the essential objects as well as the architecture and the people located in it. At first glance, it should be clear in which rooms you are in and what or who is there. It therefore completely dispenses with emphasis and tries to compensate for contrasts and only draw soft shadows and thus concentrate on the essentials.

Ceiling or pendant lights can be used for space lighting to first achieve basic brightness. However, this is often combined with further lighting, since only certain areas can be emphasized or emphasized in this way. The lighting concept for a living room can be used by accents, e.g. B. can be rounded with the help of wall, table or floor lamps. Another and very flexible and modern option offer LED strips, which can be attached almost anywhere with their back adhesive strips-general space lighting is often supplemented for more variety.
