The origins
The model Luci d'Oro is based on the color of the light: the golden light of the sun, fire; Warm lights in which the concept of light fraction in the head of Enzo Catellanis shape takes on and later often produces other creations.
The table lamp Luce d'Oro Tavolo from Catellani & Smith creates an indirect and extremely cozy light, which is a deep feeling of well -being. The table lamp consisting of iron, brass and aluminum has a strong, flexible arm that can be shaped in any direction and which at the same time holds a reflector disc covered with gold or silver leaf. The main load of the luminaire rests on the square, waxed iron foot. Right below the window, a second, smaller flex arm protrudes on the head of which the actual light source is located. The cold -scale reflector lamp used is hidden in an extravagant manner in a classic lamp version. The light directed on the pane is indirectly thrown back, as the object was luminous. The light of this lamp corresponds to the magic of the eyes, the warmth of the fire, the treasure of a pure gold lump in the middle of a thousand worthless stones. In the golden and copper version, the remaining parts are delivered in brass, in the silver variant in nickel.
