Description
A slender base hugs a bulbous shape. An industrial motif softened by the gentle curves of hand-blown glass. The Oda series of table and floor lamps reference the stilt forms of silos, furnaces and water towers of yesteryear. A warm glow brings this industrially charged aesthetic to softer interiors.
Choose from various combinations and three different sizes.
Design by Sebastian Henkner.
Poetic compositions, sophisticated shapes and filigree surfaces characterize his designs: Sebastian Herkner, who founded his studio in Offenbach am Main in 2006, creates furniture, lights and textiles as well as rooms and installations - often combining contemporary techniques with traditional craftsmanship. Without omitting the importance of material and sensory beauty, the multifaceted designer pursues a strong conceptual approach: "I transport and interpret properties from different social and cultural contexts and transform them into new artifacts," says Sebastian Herkner. The award-winning designer teaches at the university, collaborates with trade fairs and museums and works for some of the most renowned design manufacturers of our time. Pulpo got to know the creative spirit during various international design fairs when he was still a student. The designer and the House of Design now have a close and friendly relationship that enables a dynamic exchange when creative ping-pongs are played over ideas or the ideal design language for pulpo is found.
