Tolomeo Basculante is a particularly homely version of the popular Tolomeo collection from Artemide. It uses the familiar flexibly adjustable aluminum structure with spring balancer system and a shade made of silk satin or parchment paper. What distinguishes Tolomeo Basculante from other models is the fixing of the shade, which cannot be adjusted but always hangs in a vertical position, regardless of the position of the structure. When the structure is adjusted, the shade swivels and swings back into position. In this way, Tolomeo Basculante always provides downward-directed direct light, while the translucent shade also provides cozy diffuse lighting. The collection includes table lamps with a base or clamp, floor lamps and a pendant lamp with two shades, which is suitable for dining table lighting. At the workplace, next to the bed or in the reading corner, Tolomeo Basculante provides a pleasant mix of diffuse and direct light and also cuts a fine figure visually thanks to its graceful design and the beautiful materiality of its shade.
