Tolomeo Basculante is a particularly homely variant of the popular Tolomeo collection by Artemide. It uses the well-known flexibly adjustable aluminim structure with spring tension system and a shade made of silk satin or parchment paper. What distinguishes Tolomeo Basculante from other models is the attachment of the shade, which cannot be aligned but always hangs in a vertical position, no matter which position the structure takes. When the structure is adjusted, the shade swings and swings in. In this way, Tolomeo Basculante always provides direct light directed downwards, whereby the translucent shade at the same time spreads a cosy diffuse illumination. The collection includes table lamps with base or clamp, floor lamps as well as a pendant lamp with two shades that is suitable for dining table lighting. At the workplace, next to the bed or in the reading corner, Tolomeo Basculante provides a pleasant mixture of diffuse and direct light, and also cuts a good figure visually thanks to its graceful design and the beautiful materiality of its shade.
