Inexpensive DIY store LED strips usually do not provide long-lasting pleasure or the lighting effect is disappointing. There are now effective high-performance LED strips that are so bright that they even make additional lighting in the stairwell unnecessary.
The LED strips are either laid over an existing stair joint along the flight of stairs or milled into the wood below the stair treads. This is best implemented for you directly by the stair tread supplier.
You can also do it yourself!
With a little manual skill, you can also do this yourself. A narrow cooling profile for LED strips is inserted into the milling of the stair tread and the LED strip is placed and connected in it.
Depending on the choice of milling width, the size of the cooling profile and the LED strips used, you can influence the LED brightness. The great advantage of LED strips is certainly that they can be easily controlled or dimmed in terms of time and colour by wall switch, remote control, smartphone or tablet (via app).
