Installing LED strips correctly - Simply explained
You have ordered LED strips from Pro Light for indirect lighting and now want to know how to connect and install them correctly? We can help!
- Plug the network plug into the mains adapter
- Plug the cable of the network adapter into the LED controller
- Connect the plug of the LED cable with the plug of the LED controller
ATTENTION: The two arrows on the plugs of the LED controller and the LED cable must point to each other at the same place, i.e. if the arrow on the LED cable is at the top, the arrow on the LED controller must also be at the top, so that the connection is closed correctly
- Plug the network connector into the socket and the LED strip starts to light up
- Clean the area to be installed thoroughly: make sure the surface is free of dust and grease
- Remove the adhesive tape from the LED strip and attach the strip in a concealed position, otherwise you run the risk of being blinded by the bright LEDs. It is much better to attach the LED strips slightly behind the outer edge of e.g. a table, wall unit, skirting board, etc..
There are several ways to mount LED strips around corners (90 degree angle):
- Corner connection with plastic corner connectors (this is not advisable in the long term, as the plastic clips quickly overheat and there is low conductivity, possibly corrosion)
- Soldering LED strips (long-lasting solution)
