What are the different types of interior lamps?

Depending on the living and room situation, light has several functions. Numerous options of colour and shape variations are available to you, which can be perfectly adapted to your plans and ideas. We also provide you with all the information you need about materials and optimum care.

Ceiling lights

The category ceiling lights is one of the most important interior lighting categories. Whether in the bathroom, living room, bedroom or kitchen - a well-placed ceiling lamp with the right light source creates enough light for any room. In combination with the right colour temperature, it creates an ambience that makes your personal living room lighting perfect.

Wall lights

In your own home, wall lamps are often used, especially in the hallway. In the Skapetze assortment you will find wall lamps in all imaginable variations. In addition, you have the option to choose wall lamps with motion detectors. These provide ideal lighting around the clock because they only light up when it is necessary.

In the house and home, it makes sense to illuminate certain areas particularly brightly and well. For staircases, corridors or other corners, safety sometimes plays a major role. Secure these areas by using wall luminaires! Some brands and manufacturers specialise in precisely this type of luminaire to ensure your safety!

Floor lamps

Other popular light sources for interiors are floor lamps. In Germany, they are mostly found privately as interior luminaires in living rooms or for commercial areas in waiting rooms or hotels. Table lamps

A popular sub-category are the clamp lamps. They are particularly suitable for the home office or for desks in children's rooms because their design makes them robust and they are secured by the clamps.

Spotlights and spots

Spotlights and spots can be individually adapted to your room! In contrast to conventional ceiling luminaires, spotlights create a bright, pleasant atmosphere, are modern and totally trendy. Different versions of recessed or surface-mounted spotlights leave plenty of scope for different designs despite their simple appearance

Spots are also absolutely suitable for a flat because there is no minimum number per room and you can also install only 1 or 2 spots if required. Especially in white, the small light sources are hardly noticeable! Recessed floor luminaires are also becoming increasingly popular. Ground luminaires are by no means only made for outdoor use!

Track systems

Tracks are true lighting wonders! As indoor luminaires, they leave nothing to be desired. Because the individual elements of the system can usually be aligned, depending on the model, you can adjust the living room luminaires to suit your needs.

Which interior lights are best suited for which rooms?

Depending on the use of the room, different requirements arise for a room lamp. In a room where you work, we recommend light in warm white! In general, the light colour range from 2,700 to 3,300 Kelvin is called warm white. The lower the Kelvin value, the more reddish the light because the proportion of blue-emitting frequencies decreases. Warm white light is often used for home lighting because the light colour has a cosy and inviting effect.

Kitchen

The choice of lighting options for the kitchen is huge. In this area, however, a single light source is usually not enough. The classic kitchen light is still the ceiling luminaire placed in the centre of the room - but there is so much more potential in this room.

Dining room

Perfect lighting for the dining room provides sufficient light and at the same time creates a pleasant atmosphere that invites people to linger. A modern lighting solution to the conventional ceiling lamp are bathroom mirror lights. They are often dimmable and thus suitable for both morning grouches and early risers. By the way, with bathroom lamps you should also pay attention to the appropriate protection class

For dust or splash water, class IP44 is sufficient. If no class is specified, indoor luminaires are usually rated IP20.

Children's room

Nowadays, you will find a wide variety of lighting solutions for children's rooms. Classics such as plug-in luminaires are perfect as night lights. Animal symbols or starry skies are also top sellers in this category

Various brands have specialised in these spates and thus created loving design in combination with the highest quality. Whether ceiling lights or lamps for the bedside table - child-friendly looks with warm and soft optics playfully blend into the surroundings

Why are interior luminaires with LED so popular in living spaces?
