Why do you need an LED profile?
Profiles for light strips are recommended to customers despite the state-of-the-art LED technology. Unlike halogen luminaires, LED light sources hardly release any of their energy in the form of heat. The luminaires no longer get hot. An aluminium profile for LED strips is needed to optimally exploit the service life of an LED luminaire of approx. 15,000 to 25,000 operating hours. The profile ensures that the heat released is dissipated evenly, thus preventing the LED strips from overheating. Another advantage of LED profiles is their protection against external influences. Aluminium profiles are mainly offered in a length of 200cm , which can, however, be shortened individually as required. They are also available in various colours such as white, black or anodised aluminium.
Over the years, special profiles have been developed for different types of mounting. In the following, we explain which LED profile you need for which purpose.
LED recessed profiles for a perfect finish
Do you want your LED strip to disappear perfectly into the ceiling, wall or floor? Inexpensive recessed profiles create a perfectly flush finish and thus provide visual added value while protecting the LED Strip lighting. Thanks to the easy installation of aluminium profiles, they are often used in drywall construction. You can choose between the installation profile variants, flat and narrow or wide and deep.
Practical LED surface-mounted profiles
The conditions of your wall or ceiling do not permit installation of the LED strip? No problem! We have numerous surface-mounted profiles for you to choose from. You can also choose between flat and deep as well as narrow and wide installation profiles .
The surface-mounted profile is very easy to install with the corresponding mounting brackets. After screwing the clips onto the intended surface, the LED surface-mounted profile can simply be plugged in. To ensure that the ends of the profile are not open, you need appropriate end caps. The profile end caps are very inexpensive and round off your LED strip system perfectly.
Indirect light with LED corner profiles
Surface-mounted LED corner profiles are mainly used to illuminate work surfaces such as those in the kitchen. But corner profiles are also particularly suitable for indirect lighting. These profiles can be purchased at angles of 30 degrees or 60 degrees. This means that room edges can be illuminated without any problems. Make sure that you bend your LED strip as little as possible to avoid damage.

In addition to the profiles, our range also includes various covers. We recommend these covers wherever you can see the profiles. These LED covers are simply clipped into the recessed or surface-mounted profile. In our shop you will find clear, semi-transparent as well as opal white covers, whereby the light of the LED strip appears increasingly diffuse.
Please note that the individual light points of the LED Strip are more visible with a flat LED profile than with a deep profile.
