1. Which path luminaires are available?

LED bollard luminaires & LED base luminaires (at least with IP44 - splash water protected)

LED path luminaires are divided into classic LED bollard luminaires (with a height of approx. 60 cm to 150 cm) and LED base luminaires (up to 60 cm). Very large LED outdoor luminaires for parks or streets (from 1.80 m), on the other hand, are called LED pole luminaires or LED candelabra.

Bollard luminaires are also similar in appearance to a classic "bollard". In fact, however, overlaps between the outdoor bollard luminaire types are often not entirely avoidable.

LED path luminaires with motion detector

With LED path luminaires, the technology used plays a major role. After all, the luminaire should also light up as soon as night falls.

If the LED path luminaire is intended for your driveway, the motion detector can either be integrated directly into the (first) bollard luminaire and activate all other bollard luminaires as well, or the LED path luminaires can be controlled via a separate motion detector.

2. Which LED bollard luminaire is the right one for me?

LED bollard luminaires with permanently installed light sources:

When it comes to LED ceiling lights, LED hanging lights or LED floor lamps , the market with permanently installed LED light sources is on the rise. But anyone who thinks this is an industry scam is thinking wrong. Unlike conventional light sources , fixed LED modules can be used in a much more elegant and filigree way.

After all, the familiar lampholders such as GU10 or E27 are "out of the way" when it comes to design. Slim lines and unusual designs can finally be created according to customers' tastes. Added to this is an extremely high longevity of the luminaire, which should sweep any concerns aside. 20000 to 30000 hours of life are now the norm for most LED bollard luminaires.

LED path luminaires with exchangeable light source

No question: If a LED lamp with a fixed LED is defective, it is often difficult to repair. However, if you are not at all comfortable with fixed LEDs, you also have the option of using LED bollard luminaires with replaceable light sources and inserting them into these LED luminaires according to your desired luminous intensity and wattage. High-quality LED solar path lights

LED solar luminaires are the solution for all those who do not have the possibility to lay cables to the LED pathway luminaire or who shy away from the effort of installation. Good solar pathway luminaires are indeed a nice option.

3. Which material is right for my LED bollard lamp?

Make your choice of technology in the above-mentioned points: This usually means that you have already decided on the design to some extent. The next step is to choose the colour and material:

LED path luminaires made of stainless steel

Your LED path luminaires are usually outdoors all year round: so it's no wonder that LED bollard luminaires made of stainless steel are a frequently used outdoor lighting option. High-quality stainless steel is rust-proof and is not affected by weather conditions. You will enjoy these outdoor lamps for a long time!

LED path lights made of stone

Whether granite, marble or quartz. Stone is a natural material that naturally blends in perfectly with the garden ambience. LED pathway lights made of stone rely precisely on this visually beautiful combination. As with paving stones, however, you need to take care of the luminaires. Verdigris or other discolourations are usually unavoidable.

LED path lights made of plastic

Plastic is a durable material that often has a bad image. If there is no tree or shrub nearby, you can enjoy the plastic LED path light for years. In stormy weather, however, the luminaire must definitely be well anchored - and should not be placed near trees because of falling branches.

4. LED path luminaires in black, white or anthracite?

The colour of your LED bollard luminaire usually depends on the appearance of the nearby building. Are the windows anthracite? Then you can match the bollard luminaires to it, for example. Roof colour or paving colour are also suitable indicators for your bollard luminaires. White outdoor luminaires are usually high-maintenance. We therefore recommend timeless and easy-care colours.

5. Where do I set up my LED pathway luminaire correctly?

LED bollard luminaires for the driveway:

Bollard luminaires are particularly popular for the driveway to the property. This way, you can see exactly where you are going and, in most cases, the path to the front door is also illuminated by the automatic ambient lighting. The distance from bollard luminaire to bollard luminaire can be determined yourself. however, 3 to 5 metres is the rule, depending on the length of the driveway.

LED path lights for the garden:

LED path lights in the garden do not only stand for a fantastic staging of the outdoor area, but also for a certain safety. In winter, thebright path lighting makes it easier to watch out for slippery or uneven surfaces. Especially for children or elderly people, steps or gravelly paths carry a certain risk of falling. Here, LED path luminaires reduce the risk of falling.

LED path luminaires as protection against burglary / intruders:

The burglary rate in Germany is not exactly low. But instead of relying on expensive security systems, bright and extensive garden lighting as an alarm system is often a tried and tested remedy (especially those with motion control). There is nothing burglars shy away from more than being watched by neighbours as they go about their business with extensive lighting.

6. Buy LED pathway luminaires individually or as a set?

Most LED pathway luminaires are not available as a set but individually. This makes it easier for you to buy the required quantity of LED bollard luminaires at a reasonable price. If you need a very large number, e.g. for very long driveways, large gardens or parks, you always have the option of requesting your desired quantity directly from our shop.
