The origins
Macchina della Luce originates from the Luci d'Oro collection and is also the result of reflections on the colour of light: the golden light of the sun, of fire; warm lights in which the concept of light refraction takes shape in Enzo Catellani's mind and later often gives rise to other creations.
The imposing Macchina Della Luce pendant luminaire LED conjures up an atmospheric lighting ambience. This exquisite lighting object from the traditional Italian company Catellani & Smith successfully combines an individual look with modern function. The expressive design of the luminaire captivates with timeless elegance, the extraordinary composition of light and precious materials transforms the pendant luminaire into a radiant centre of the room. Depending on the model variant, the light object consists of several discs coated with gold leaf, silver leaf or copper in different sizes. LED lamps are attached to the tops of the three discs. The fascinating indirect lighting effect of the pendant luminaire conjures up a special ambience with a personal touch. The upward light distribution provides glare-free, soft room lighting. The Macchina Della Luce LED is particularly effective in spacious living and dining rooms as well as in entrance halls.
