The existing light switches of the 230 V household installation are sufficient to dim the LED luminaires in 3 steps. The light output is reduced from 100% to first 50% and then to 25% brightness by switching on and off several times. In this way, the intensity of the light can be easily adjusted according to personal preferences. Only after switching off for a longer period of time do the LEDs light up again at their highest brightness level. An additional dimmer is not required because the LED lamps do not need any additional ballasts or transformers.
