Avia is a design by star architect Zaha Hadid and uses the unique plastics of the Slamp brand to achieve an extraordinary look with fascinating lighting effects. The Avia pendant lamp exists in four sizes and in two colour versions each. With its extravagant shade, the futuristic luminaire attracts all eyes. Each of the 50 slats made of patented Crystalflex has a different shape, together they create a three-dimensional, flowing form, completely in the designer's well-known style. Avia has two different light sources: It casts a magical light all around the room, glare-reduced and diffused through the slats of its shade. At the same time, it directs a direct light downwards, so that the luminaire is particularly suitable for illuminating dining tables or living room tables. Since 2020, Avia has been available in a revised look, with a delicate transition from white or black to transparency. This further enhances the flowing, floating impression of the luminaire.
