Origin of the Castore collection
The designer Huub Ubbens was the head of the design department of the Milan-based lamp manufacturer Artemide for seven years. Here, the Castore series was created in 2003 in cooperation with Michele de Lucchi. The collection is divided into Castore Sospensione - pendant lamps, Castore Tavolo - table lamps, Castore Terra - floor lamps and Castore Calice - again pendant or pendant lamps, but with a slightly different look than the other lamps of this series.

Let yourself be carried away by these pendant lamps, table lamps or floor lamps, the shades of these spherical, diffuse light-giving lamps are made of mouth-blown glass, the rod and the ceiling rose are made of thermoplastic resin. Artemide shows here once again how progressive and imaginative they are in their product development.

The drop-shaped design is well suited for mounting several pendant luminaires in different sizes one after the other. This effect unfolds pleasantly in living rooms or bedrooms when the diffuse, indirect light takes over the room. TheCastore Calice are a little different in appearance than their peers from the collection: The luminaires radiate a direct light downwardsthrough their hemispherical shade, which can be used well at work or dining tables.
Terra gives you light when you need indirect lighting for relaxing activities in the living room, or as a nice greeting in the entrance. Take a look at the Tavolo table lamps - they are both a light source and an accessory in the living area.
