A ball of air wrapped in liquid is called "Awa" in Japanese. This design came from the idea of creating lighting that looks like soft glass that has kept its shape after being inflated. I hope it gives the impression of an air ball floating when you look up. Another feature of this design is that its wooden and metal parts are made of glass, as if they were stoppers (corks) for the air.
