The most striking feature of the Oyster table lamp is probably the shade, which consists of two metal rings woven with cotton threads. In the middle, there is an opaque disc that protrudes slightly and hides the light source. The disc is not only decorative, but also ensures that the light of the bulb does not dazzle. The design of the table lamp is reminiscent of an oyster, hence the name Oyster. The designer Jette Scheib, who comes from Germany and lives in Barcelona, designed the Oyster lamp series. Scheib looks for inspiration in her surroundings, in people and in their behaviour towards each other as well as in their interaction with objects. She designs functional luminaires with personality.
