Ingo Maurer Birds series -Spectacular luminescence Spectacle
The design lamps of the renowned Munich artist from the Birds Ingo Maurer from the Birds collection are strongly reminiscent of a flock of birds. The series includes chandeliers, fancy pendant lamps, table lamps and ceiling lamps. Each of them convinces with a playful and poetic look.
in 1992, the first Birds lamp saw the light of day. Since then, the Birds collection has been gradually enriched with new variations. As in one or the other series, the artist also puts the focus on the Illuminant.
The real goose fe athers breathe life into the delicate lamp. They transform the wiry lamp into a feathered light source. On the one hand, the lamp can thus provide balanced room light, on the other hand, the bendable wires allow for more accentuated lighting. The various lamps are equipped with special low-voltage lamps that together produce a luminous flux of 1,200 lumens.

At that time, the collection started with the Birds Birds chandelier, which can definitely take over a room with 24 simplified little birds. Due to its length of 190cm, this design lamp is rather suitable for larger rooms.
For smaller rooms, the "little brother" Birdie is suitable. Ingo Maurer resumed the successful lamp concept with the Birdie 10 years later - in 2002 - after the first Birds lamp. This time, however, instead of 24 birds, there are only 12. The bendable wires and cables allow the little birds of the pendant luminaire to be individually directed where they want to fly.
in 2005, the Birdies Nest was created. This ceiling lamp is suitable for lower rooms with a room height of 230 and 250cm. From the nest - here the canopy - which contains a transformer for low-voltage bulbs, 10 little birds fly, filling the living space with indirect light. As with the other models, the "direction of flight" can be changed freely.
Birdies at the table
The Birdies Busch is a table lamp. It has complemented the Birds collection by Ingo Maurer since 2010. It has a height of 90cm and is approx. 50cm wide. The number of stylised birds is 7 and they form a filigree light swarm.
