SkaDa - from an idea to the finished luminaire
The s.luce SkaDa floor, table and pendant luminaire series is an elegant luminaire whose unobtrusive charm makes it a highlight in any room. Due to the extraordinary design with its clear lines, the SkaDa series attracts all eyes.
The origin of the s.luce SkaDa series
Originally, the basic idea for the SkaDa series came from a hotel project. The hotel manager wanted a new, individual and above all exclusive luminaire series for his own premises. Skapetze's own product designers promptly drew up the corresponding sketches.
Subsequently, the idea was developed into a representative drawing, which was immediately convincing with its charm. The hotel representative liked what we had conjured up from his idea and so the first samples were ordered.
Bringing in the s.luce advantages
The s.luce products generally have a timeless and partly customisable design. Accordingly, these advantages should also be realised for the SkaDa lines. The idea of a lampshade consisting of two parts was realised, allowing the customer to create an individual colour combination.
Individual shade combinations
The s.luce SkaDa series offers copper, black, gold, shiny aluminium and white. Together, this results in 20 different colour combinations.
How is the canopy used on the pendant luminaire?
The mounting plate is attached to the ceiling. There are several openings in the mounting plate: Two for the screws to fix it to the ceiling and one for the power cable. The latter is led through the opening and connected to the luster terminal on the mounting plate.
On the other side of this luster terminal is the cable that leads to the socket. The holder for the shade is also attached to the socket and the shade is simply placed over it. The cover of the mounting plate, which hangs on the cable, is made of metal, while 3 magnets are attached to the mounting plate.
These provide a secure hold, but most importantly, there are no screws to be seen. A simple yet innovative solution.
Structure of the s.luce SkaDa - design light series:
The modular series consists of different shades that can be combined in different colours. They are held together by a so-called "Keder", a tube-shaped fastening that is simply slipped over the edge of the shade halves.
For the available floor lamp , wall lamp or Suspension lamp series, different shade sizes are available. Whether small shapes for suspension at different heights, or large shapes for impressive pendant lights above dining table or living room table. Table and floor lamps are offered via a graceful, elegant metal tripod.
The SkaDa series is both unusual and original. Whether in the private home or in a shop or shop. The lamp series makes a good impression everywhere.
With LED bulbs or better with individual Smart Home lighting?

Luminaire suspension and ceiling suspension made easy
Using a rail system or ceiling rose and matching spacer brackets, you can easily hang several SkaDa lamps in a row or at different heights.
