The award-winning Titania by Luceplan allows coloured light to be emitted sideways and white light to be emitted upwards and downwards. It is perfect for offices or conference rooms - but it is also perfect for private use.
The history of the Titania lamp by Luceplan
in 1989, the pendant lamp "Titania" was launched by Luceplan. It is unmistakable due to its futuristic or elliptically shaped body. The aluminium slats used allow the optional coloured light accents perfect space to shine through. Due to its extravagant appearance, it was awarded the Italian industrial design prize "Compasso d'Oro".
The idea of the light zeppelin
The Titania was designed by the two designers Alberto Meda and Paola Rizzatto. The pendant luminaire convinces with its combination of technical sophistication and expressive appearance. The body of the luminaire consists of a flat or oval silhouette. Filigree slats made of aluminium give this shape the necessary support.
The narrow slats make the luminaire appear light and airy. In addition, it is possible to adjust the height of the Titania pendant luminaire, as it is attached to the suspension by a spherical counterweight.
The special feature of the Titania
To exploit the full potential of the Luceplan Titania, it is recommended to purchase different colour filter sets. The Luceplan Titania colour filter set can be ordered quickly and conveniently here as an accessory. It consists of 2 filters made of polycarbonate in the selectable colours yellow, pink, light blue and purple.
The filters are pushed in from the side and ensure that the body of the Titania luminaire shines in the selected colour. The light radiating from the side is also coloured according to the selected filter. Since the light shining downwards and upwards through the central part remains white, the Titania pendant luminaire creates a fascinating work of light art that is unparalleled.
By the way, the variable colour accents only appear when the lamp is switched on - this creates an interesting surprise effect!
The Titania Queen from Luceplan
The largest version of the design classic by Luceplan is the "Titania Queen". It has a length of 140cm and a width of 54cm. Due to its considerable size, it is particularly suitable for lighting larger tables - for example in offices or conference rooms. The Titania-Queen also convinces with functionality and beauty in private living rooms.
