Melt is a light sphere with a beautiful irregular shape that creates a hypnotic effect of melting blown glass. The surface of Melt is reminiscent of the inside of a melting glacier or images of outer space. in 2019, we added a custom Tom Dixon LED ring to the Melt product family, integrated into the base.
Melt takes our experimentation in the technologically advanced field of vacuum metallisation in a new direction. Melt Chrome is a distorted illuminated globe that emerged from the collaboration with the radical Swedish design collective FRONT.
