Designers and manufacturers
Innovations and designers are not created overnight, just like our luminaire designers with their extraordinary creations.
Designers usually specialise in one area (lighting, furnishing, ...) and design products for it. However, it often happens that designers cover several areas or are a combination of designer and architect. Manufacturers are persons or companies that produce goods industrially.
Both professions are to some extent interdependent. Designers often create a promising portfolio, but they usually lack the means to realise it. This is where the producer comes in, offering to produce the goods.
Both profit from this cooperation in that the producer can put together a larger assortment and thus gain in sales and turnover. Due to the increasing sales of the designer's products, his profit also increases.
But there is a third winner: the consumer. With the help of the larger product selection, the customer is spoilt for choice to choose his perfect design.
